Websites are often the primary touch point when a customer or client wants to learn about a business. A well-designed website with high quality content can be the linchpin in the success of a marketing strategy, and even the success of the organization itself.
By ensuring a positive user experience, reducing bounce rates, and increasing the time that users spend on your site, you can grow your bottom line.

When Kobe Steakhouse was opening their new Mai Hana Pan-Asian Grill restaurant concept, I wanted to build an elegant, yet functional site that would look great on any device.
I placed a special focus on finding a perfect restaurant plugin that not only created a clean and vibrant menu, but also allowed them to easily edit and add dishes.

Although this site was built in 2006-2007, I've included it here because it was the last website I worked on prior to the introduction of Apple's iPhone, which fundamentally changed web design necessities forever.
The Kobe owners gave me what was essentially a clean slate to design with, so long as I kept the their existing reservation system. Later projects saw us updating the reservation system to show which teppan chefs were working each day, allowing patrons to choose their desired chef.

When ADX wanted to promote their environmentally-friendly services, I designed a custom WordPress theme for their Cleaner Commerce site.
I also created a paper reduction application for the site that allowed a user to punch in some basic parameters about their current paper usage. Once they entered the data, the application then showed them the potential savings in their environmental impact, reducing deforestation, pollution, energy usage, water usage, and more.

As part of their website refresh, I was brought in to redesign their existing site theme.
I had never worked with the Joomla CMS before, but I was able to rapidly learn how it worked and provided ADX a visually-appealing site that didn't disrupt their content workflow.

I designed my first HTML page in 1992. Graphic browsers were months away, and Mozilla was practically unheard of. Over the years web development has expanded in amazing ways, most crucially with content management systems that enable a designer like me to create a site that a client can easily use in a way that won’t disrupt the functionality of the site. Over the years I’ve worked with a number of CMS applications and a number of programming languages.
